Resurrection - Easter 2005

Raquel Soto © March 27, 2005

"The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which [was] full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, [there were] very many in the open valley; and, lo, [they were] very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:" Ezekiel 37 1-5 KJV

Dryness. We've all experienced it. We all have had our valleys where it appears as though it will never get any better. Times in our lives when we've felt like we've been walking in the desert for years ourselves. For many of us, we wonder if we're on the right track at all. With seemingly the whole world telling us it's not meant to be, we start to doubt we're called to live out our dreams or if we should just resign to be "normal".

Before a seed bears fruit, the seed dies. As with the call of God on our lives, there are times when it will appear that everything we've heard from God, every Rhema or Logos Word given us, seems to hang in the balance. We're stuck in the desert, wondering where is our river. Looking at the dry bones, the remnants of what was once a thriving passion, now almost becomes a mirage in the distance.

So, what do we do now? Now that our passion has diminished? God gives us some very practical instructions on what to do when we enter our desert:

Prophesy to the dry dead bones! Ezekiel 37 v 4

Prophecy isn't only for the Prophets that minister to the church. You are called to prophesy- to say what God says- about your situation. What did God call you to? Did He call you to teach? Evangelize? Work in the marketplace? What were the words He gave you to encourage you? Read them out loud, again and again. Read the Logos (written Word) of God that He gave you as confirmation. As you prophesy to yourself – say what God says about you and your calling – see what He sees. See yourself doing what He has called you to do. And rejoice! Knowing that no Word from God is without power or impossible of fulfillment! (Luke 1 v 37)

As you prophesy, release the force of faith to back it up Hebrews 4v2

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it].

The Israelites failed to enter their Canaan land because they didn't mix what they heard from God with faith. The world system is set up to test you, tempt you, and try to force you to abort the dream seed God has put in you. God has called you to greatness. The calling God has placed for your life is impossible for you to do on your own. That's how you know you are on the right track. What do you want to do for God? What excites you? Choose to step out in faith and seek God for the steps. A rose doesn't spring up overnight. What steps do you need to take to tend to the garden that will bear fruit to your dreams?

This one is difficult -- you must, you Must, you MUST be patient. Hebrews 6 v 12

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Patience. In Romans 5 verse 3 the Word tells us that tribulations works patience. Works here is really employs. Patience is employed by tribulations. You hire patience to come in once you encounter tribulations. God has already given us everything we need. But, it's in the spiritual realm. The spirit realm is the "parent" of the physical realm. Whatever is birthed in the physical was first "conceived" in the spirit. But you need patience for the manifestation. God's not just going to drop money, customers, sales, whatever into your lap. HE works through people to get it to you. So be patient. To everything there is a season. Patience is the season between I believe I receive and there it is. There's an old gospel hymn that goes: "Trouble don't last always… weeping may endure for night, keep the faith, it will be all right…Trouble don't last always…Trouble won't last…Trouble won't last always…" Something has got to give, so why should it be you? Patience employs experience (Romans 5 verse 4) and experience, hope. Once you've been through something that experience will bring you hope knowing that if God did it for you once, He'll do it again! Stand strong on God's Word!

You have been given the power, so use it! Romans 8 v 11a

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you…

The same Spirit, the SAME Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is inside you! That power is in you but you need to use it. There are those of us who are waiting on God, but God's waiting on you! HE'S already done everything He's going to do. He's given us the seal that we belong to Him. He's given us gifts and talents. He's given us authority to use His name. He's given us every good and perfect gift. He's given us a Comforter, Standby, Teacher. He's given us beings to minister to us. What more do you want? It's already done! Jesus accomplished that for you in His death and resurrection. It's time! It's time to speak to those dry bones of the dreams you tried to leave behind. It's time to expect the seed that died to come to life. It's time for your resurrection! It's time! It's Time! It's TIME! Resurrect your dreams today!
